TRIZIO CAIATI JEWELS
Your jewelry in Bari
The year is 1925 and Michelina Trizio, inheriting father Domenico’s jewelry business, decides to create a working partnership with her husband Vincenzo Caiati. Years pass and the family trade, now consolidated and well renowned, is taken over by their son Filippo Trizio Caiati, who has great projects in mind. Besides managing the jewelry shop, Filippo establishes a wholesale silver trade business, which over time will become the biggest Italian distributor in its sector. A passion for wrist watches leads Filippo to invest in a new entrepreneurial challenge: he launches Autrix, a pioneering brand specializing in automatic and manual watches, still on sale at their shop. The latest generational change takes place thanks to the vision and passion for gems of Micaela Trizio Caiati, who after father Filippo’s passing transforms the jewelry shop into a full-fledged company, becoming sole administrator. Micaela moves to California and graduates in gemology at the prestigious GIA-Gemological Institute of America, then from 1984 devotes herself to creating unique pieces, designed and tailored to suit the personality of every woman. Nowadays, the “Micaela Caiati” brand is synonym with exclusive design and utter elegance.
THE ART OF DESIGNING JEWELRY AND SEEING IT COMING TO LIFE HAS SOMETHING MAGICAL AND EMOTIONAL IN IT.
TRIZIO CAIATI WORKSHOP
Where creations come to light
The Trizio Caiati workshop is an authentic “factory of ideas”, where art, design and sense of beauty are strictly entwined; this is the place where creations come to light and take concrete shapes, where freedom of expression is combined with creativity. As Micaela puts it, the art of designing jewelry and seeing it coming to life has something magical and emotional in it: “I get my inspiration from… well, women”. She concentrates on the woman who will wear her creations, having in mind each particular and distinctive facet of beauty. Inspiration comes from the very idea of discovering such splendor and highlighting it with a unique piece of art, which will remain fashionable over time. Working closely with a staff of professional goldsmiths and setters, Micaela oversees a team of highly qualified experts who craft their precious pieces and manage any kind of repair. Upon request, a certification for each gem may be furnished, and Micaela prides her lab to be among the few where metals are worked using the traditional lost-wax casting, allowing for complex geometries and distinctive creations in gold, silver, copper, bronze, and other metals.
